Qik is an Android app for capturing special moments, events, news or anything you want to broadcast live while on the go. Qik will also upload your video to a server for storage. I recently took video of a Christmas light display here in Boise and shared it out to my Facebook friends and Twitter followers. Qik recently updated the app to allow for high-resolution (720×480 pixels) broadcasting.

Start the app and press the green button and you’ll be broadcasting live around the world. If you want you can have the app let friends (Contact list), Twitter followers and Facebook friends know you are broadcasting live.

You have the option to make your broadcast private and share it out after your done recording and saving the video to your phones SD card. The app can be a little sluggish but it’s simple and easy to use. There’s so many possibilities with Qik so download it and have some fun.
